Our primary goal has always been to provide you with the best possible experience, and with that in mind, we've introduced Version 3 of our plugin, now called TheBooking.

Why the change?

Over the years, we've listened to your feedback, observed the challenges you faced, and recognized the need for a more streamlined, efficient, and feature-rich system. The transition from Version 2 to Version 3 is not just an upgrade, it's a transformation aimed at addressing the limitations of the previous version and introducing a plethora of new features to enhance your experience.

The evolution of Google Calendar integration

Version 2 allowed users to provide availability for services by naming events in their Google Calendar after the service. While this offered direct service mapping, it also brought challenges like title dependencies, cluttered calendar views, and limitations to owned calendars.

Version 3 introduces a more solid approach. Instead of relying on event titles, an entire Google Calendar is now dedicated to an Availability Plan, which is then linked to services. This change offers several advantages:

  • Simplified management: no more juggling event titles. Any event in the dedicated calendar signifies availability.
  • Cleaner calendar views: dedicate and even hide entire calendars for availability, reducing visual clutter.
  • Enhanced flexibility: use both owned and shared calendars, and separate calendars for availability, reservations and personal events.

We understand that while the Google Calendar integration is significant, it's just one piece of the puzzle. Version 3 is packed with features designed to offer you more control, flexibility, and efficiency:
