Approval

TheBooking introduces an added layer of control over reservations by allowing you to set approval requirements. This ensures that every reservation aligns with your business's needs and provides an opportunity to review bookings before finalizing them.

Reservation Approval

By enabling this setting, reservations won't be finalized immediately upon booking. Instead, they will await approval, ensuring that you have the final say on each reservation.

Approval authority

info

This option is visible only when approval is required and the Service Providers feature is active.

Once the reservation approval requirement is activated, you can designate who is responsible for approving the reservations. This ensures that the right person or team is in charge of the process.

Options:

  • Admin approval: administrators will be responsible for approving reservations.
  • Service Provider approval: the service provider associated with the reservation will be responsible for approving it. This is particularly beneficial for businesses where individual providers have autonomy over their schedules and need to ensure that each booking aligns with their availability and preferences.

Keep available until approval

info

This option is visible only when approval is required.

By enabling this option, slots or units associated with a reservation will remain available for other customers until the reservation is approved. This can be particularly useful in scenarios where there's a high likelihood of reservation cancellations or where you want to maximize booking opportunities.

Caution

While this feature can maximize booking opportunities, it also introduces the risk of overbooking. If multiple customers book the same slot before any reservation is approved, it could lead to scheduling conflicts. Ensure you have a strategy in place to manage such scenarios and communicate effectively with your customers.
